We staff Cape Town's best weddings, corporate functions and private events. If you are good at this work, we will keep you working.
WHAT YOU GET
We work year round, and the season does not stop in Cape Town. Once you are on the roster you get first call on the events that match your experience.
On the 15th and the last day of every month, every month. You know the dates, you plan around them.
Your trial shift is paid at the standard rate. We are asking you to work, not to audition for free.
Venue, timings, dress code and run sheet, sent before the day. You never walk in cold.
Both agreed in writing before the shift. If the event runs long, you are paid for it.
Waiters who can run a section get one. Section leads become coordinators. We promote from the roster first.
Rates depend on the role and your experience. Yours is confirmed in writing before your first shift.
THE STANDARD
We are selective. That is the whole product.
At least one year of event service experience. Formal training is a bonus, not a requirement.
You arrive pressed, polished and early. You supply your own blacks and whites: black trousers or skirt, a pressed white shirt, and polished black closed shoes.
Full room, short staffed, running behind. How you handle that is what we are hiring for.
A valid South African ID or work permit, and one contactable reference from a recent employer.
Own transport helps, particularly for Winelands events. Not having it will not rule you out.
THE PROCESS
Two minutes. Your experience, the roles you can fill, and when you are available.
A short conversation, in person or on a call. We check your references.
One paid shift with an Odeon team lead. You work, we watch.
You are in the group, uniformed, and receiving shift offers.
